This course will go through research and statistics about small business, go over various reasons why small businesses fail, and the course will explain how access to capital affects a small business's success rate.

Ron Fisher

Ron Fisher serves as a Business Solutions Officer with a geographic focus on the greater Charlotte region. Prior to his current role, he operated his own consulting firm for 12 years and provided services to financial institutions and non-profit economic development organizations throughout the region. Has also previously worked for First Union National Bank (now Wells Fargo) in the areas of community development lending, affordable housing program management, and small business lending. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from North Carolina Central University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin at Madison.
